With over 22 years of experience in helping design, build and support complex structures, John’s leadership and collaborative philosophy is at the cornerstone of BDR. As Principal-in Charge, John’s fundamental role is to ensure all clients have their complex structural investments met and that they achieve the highest possible Return on their Facility Investment.

Emily’s long track record of healthcare success surrounds all aspects including large-scale hospital, ambulatory clinics, laboratory sciences, MOB and outpatient development, provides her with the skillset and expertise to translate the client’s business goals into strategies and plans so they can enjoy sustainable growth and facility ROI. In addition, Emily’s student center, natatorium, and outdoor classroom projects exemplify the diversified portfolio of her education projects. Emily also serves as a student advisor for Clemson University’s College of Architecture Mentoring Program.

An astute financial and scheduling manager excelling in preconstruction, Anna brings this experience to all planning, design, construction and transition management efforts. Also an expert in LEED, Anna has led three LEED Gold projects as well as multiple LEED certified buildings.

A Civil Engineer with over 25 years’ experience as a Design Engineer, Owner, Facility Manager and Program Manager, Hector brings seasoned and multi-faceted expertise to all our projects. With a primary focus on education projects, Hector is an active member of the U.S. Green Building Association and the Society for College and University Planning. Hector helps ensure the facilities that support students and faculty are able to meet the needs of today’s challenging educational programs.

Graduating Summa Cum Laude from NC State’s School of Architecture, David is a master planning expert for large, complex structures and campuses. He is extensively trained in all aspects of CAD and BIM design and review; which greatly aids in our ability to streamline and accelerate the planning and construction phases of large, complex projects (400,000+ SF) for our clients. David’s expertise also includes strategic site and facility assessments, transition planning and move management.

Brint is also a featured speaker on sustainable housing projects having managed a $299M student housing project that obtained LEED Gold and a $32M housing project obtaining LEED Silver. Brint has proven expertise in programming, planning, feasibility studies and master planning.

Erin Carlson, AIA, EDAC, CSSBB, NCARB : Senior Manager

As a registered Architect who holds two degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Erin has dedicated much of her career to examining the healthcare environment. A Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, she is able to readily identify process improvements for clients, collaborating often at the C-suite level and beyond to study their business and unearth out-of-the-box solutions. In 2014, Erin obtained the EDAC (Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification), which bolsters her ability to apply both industry-created and self-conducted research to built-environments and process challenges.  Her capability to understand varying perspectives, analyze them, and build on the ideas make her recommendations effective. As a life-long native of North Florida, Jamie contributes to the growth and expansion of BDR. Her pivotal role with BDR includes both project management and business development. She has 17 years of construction project and program management experience in the local market where she has already succeeded in completing large scale developments as well as healthcare expansions and renovations totaling over $260M. She is a graduate of Florida State University with two Bachelor of Science degrees – one in Finance and the other in Real Estate which both lend to her abilities to develop and manage capital budgets as well as her experience in executive leadership and user group collaboration, master planning, analyzing market conditions, teams and costs and implementing strategy and business operational efficiencies. Sandifer specializes in the “people” side of strategy, utilizing her connections, experience and involvement in the North Florida community.

She has overseen the successful completion of multi-family high rise buildings, mixed-use developments, children’s hospitals, medical laboratories, specialized medical care centers, as well as commercial office projects. Kelly’s portfolio includes projects ranging from $2 to $88 million, and strives to involve stakeholders in every step of the process. With a BFA in Interior Design from Brenau University and an MS in Building Construction from Georgia Tech, Kelly understands the impact that design can have on overall operational performance of facilities.
